After graduating with a degree in European Studies and Modern Languages, I joined the Bank of England's graduate recruitment programme. In the five years I worked there I had a variety of interesting analytical roles, from financial crisis management to market operations. During my last assignment I saw the importance of the media in driving market sentiment, particularly since August 2007 and the collapse of Northern Rock, and decided that I wanted to use my experience of finance and banking in financial communications. I joined Powerscourt in 2008.

I chose Powerscourt because of the type of clients it works for. This has provided me with an opportunity to get involved in diverse and interesting work right from the outset. By being part of a committed team and working with people whose backgrounds cover journalism, PR and investment banking, I am developing new skills which I can apply immediately to my client work.
